Who we are

FlowBooks is operated by [registered company name], [ABN or company number], of [registered address]. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, write to mohsinijaz13@gmail.com.

What we collect

Your account. Your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, the account identifier Google gives us. We never receive your Google password.

What you put into FlowBooks. Your products, suppliers, customers, orders, shipments, costs, invoices, payments and any files you attach. This is your business’s own information. We hold it so the product can show it back to you.

How the product is used. Sign-in times, the actions recorded in your store’s activity log, and technical logs needed to keep the service running and secure.

If you write to us from this website. Your name, email address, business name, country, what you sell, and how many people and warehouses you have. We use them to set up your store and to reply to you, and to understand where interest in FlowBooks comes from.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We do not use the contents of your store to build or train anything for other customers.

Staff do not read your business data as a matter of course. Where a support request cannot be answered any other way, access is deliberate, limited to what the question needs, and recorded.

Where your information is stored

Your data is held in Singapore. FlowBooks keeps each business’s records apart from every other’s on every read and every save, and backs them up nightly to storage held separately from the servers that run the product.

If we move the region your data is stored in, we will say so here and tell account owners before the move rather than after it.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of suppliers to run the service: [hosting provider] for servers and databases, [backup storage provider] for backups, and [email provider] for the emails FlowBooks sends you. They process information on our instructions and for no other purpose.

How long we keep it

We keep your store’s data for as long as the account is open. If you close your account we keep it for [retention period] so it can be restored if closing was a mistake, then delete it. Backups age out on their own cycle within [backup retention period].

Accounting records have their own rules. You are responsible for keeping whatever your tax authority requires, which is why you can export everything at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to mohsinijaz13@gmail.com and we will answer within [number] days.

You can also export your store’s own records yourself, in CSV, at any time and without asking us — including after you have stopped paying.

If you think we have handled your information badly and our answer has not resolved it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies

FlowBooks sets a cookie to keep you signed in, and one to remember your display preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. [State here whether the public website uses analytics, and which.]

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how your information is handled, we will tell account owners by email rather than relying on you to notice.
