FlowBooks

Terms of service

Last updated [date this is published]

The agreement

These terms are between you (the business using FlowBooks) and [registered company name], [ABN or company number] (“we”, “us”). By creating a store or using FlowBooks you accept them.

What we provide

FlowBooks is software for recording inventory, purchasing, import costs and sales. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it available and to keep your data safe, and we will tell you about planned maintenance in advance where we can.

FlowBooks is not an accountant and not a tax adviser. Every figure it produces — including any tax figure — is arithmetic on what you recorded in it. Have your accountant or registered tax agent check them before you lodge anything. Where a figure is incomplete, FlowBooks says so beside it, and it remains your responsibility to add what it does not hold.

Your account

You are responsible for who you invite into your store and what they do there, and for keeping sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been misused.

You must not use FlowBooks to break the law, to store someone else’s data without the right to, or to attempt to disrupt the service for other customers.

Trials, plans and payment

A new store gets a free trial of 30 days. No card is required to start one, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.

After the trial, continued use requires a plan. Plans are billed [monthly or yearly, in advance], in Australian dollars, and the prices shown include GST. We will give you at least [notice period] notice before changing the price of a plan you are on.

Plans limit how many warehouses and users a store may have. They do not limit how many invoices, orders or products you may record.

If a trial ends or payment stops

We do not lock you out of your own records. If a trial ends, a plan lapses or a store exceeds its plan, the store becomes read-only: everything you have recorded stays readable, every report still runs, and you can still export it all. What stops is creating new documents, and that resumes as soon as the account is current again.

Who owns what

Your data stays yours. We claim no ownership of anything you record in FlowBooks, and we take no licence over it beyond what is needed to run the service for you — storing it, backing it up and showing it back to you and the people you have invited.

The software itself, and everything in it that we made, remains ours.

Ending it

You can stop using FlowBooks whenever you like. Export your records first; you can export at any time, including while a store is read-only. [State here what happens to any unused part of a prepaid period.]

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or where payment stays outstanding after we have asked for it. Except where the law or a serious breach requires us to act immediately, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right and to take your data with you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded by agreement. [The remainder of this section — including any cap on liability — must be written or reviewed by a lawyer rather than adapted from a template.]

Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export exists so that you can.

Changes, and governing law

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and tell account owners by email where the change materially affects them.

These terms are governed by the laws of [state or territory], Australia. Questions go to mohsinijaz13@gmail.com.
